The Game

The genesis of Easy Does It Fest is The Game. If you're new to EZDI, know that it's a silly romp in the woods. If you've competed before, remember that each year's game will have some changes! This is an opportunity for you to enjoy being outside with your friends, finding items in the woods, playing games, and generally making fools of yourselves. What to expect:

You may compete solo or on a team.

There is no limit to team sizes.

Team size will not dictate advantage or disadvantage; 4-6 people is recommended.

Prepare to walk/hike in the woods for 4 hours; dress accordingly.

You will not get lost; you will have a trail map and clear instructions.

To participate is to engage in the social contract of good sportsmanship; sabotage is not tolerated.

The most competitive will keep a swift pace as they traverse through 140 acres of trails, streams, mud, disc golf fairways, and plenty of downed dead trees and ruts leftover from course construction. We expect the most competitive teams to walk between seven to eight miles over the three hours that have been allotted.

Those who are looking for a good reason to have a casual stroll in the woods will still have an enjoyable experience. We expect them to cover about four to five miles during the allotted time, and that will be plenty to take in the highlights of the Game as well as the natural beauty here at Camp Easy Does It. If this is your first time, don’t fret. At worst, it’s a wonderful walk in the woods. At best, you may win a prize!

P.S. There are a few bonus points available for team costume coordination.
